How to set up CFA through PE Teacher?

Just making sure we are doing this right. My son has set up the CFA with his PE teacher next week. I asked him how will the info go to USNA?
He says he emailed? USNA and told them that this teacher was going to do the CFA and gave the teacher's email. Is this the correct process to set up the CFA through PE teacher for USNA?

USNA web site does not clearly say how to set this up. Any suggestion?
