Soft recruit?

I was recruited by West Point for a period of time for swimming. I attended the recruiting trip and loved it. Unfortunately the coach said he didn't have enough slots to blue chip me.

I had a congressman recently check on my file and it still shows that I'm a swim recruit. Does this give me a higher chance of being accepted from the NWL?

I have nominations and I am trip Q'd.
