Application portal

I was looking on my portal today and at the very bottom of the page, I saw "USAFA Online Application v2.46j released 26 Jan 2016 Today's date is 2/10/2016 (US Mountain Time)." I was wondering what released meant... Does it mean that the Academy has already viewed my application or does it mean that my file is in a pile waiting to be reviewed?

Also, I was wondering, if I receive an appointment, would I receive notification immediately at the time of acceptance? Or would my portal...
