High school JROTC

So I have heard on other forums throughout the web that JROTC doesn't really help at all with admissions. I haven't asked the question on these forums so I might as well give it a shot, does your JROTC ran give you any leeway in the admissions process? I'm talking about Company commander and up * that's army btw* Right now I'm a captain and will probably be a battalion commander *lieutenant Colonel* next year if I stay on track.
